AI Price Index

Why it exists

No provider publishes a price history for its own models. Several open lists carry broad current pricing, but none pairs each price with a dated, verifiable first-party source under a clear license, and none records when a price was last confirmed.

That gap bites the moment you need to value past usage. A token spent in March cost what it cost in March. A tool that holds only today's prices silently re-prices your whole history every time a vendor cuts a rate, so the figure it shows for last quarter changes even though nothing about last quarter did. Why a price change should not restate your recorded history works through what that costs you.

This index is the dated record that makes the honest answer possible. Every price carries the first-party page it came from, the date it took effect, and the date a human last confirmed it.

Cite this data

CC BY 4.0 asks for attribution. Cite the dated release so your snapshot is reproducible (prices change, and corrections supersede without deleting history).
